At Linton Village College we believe that uniform assists in the development of a unified culture and conveys a strong message about our standards in school and the community. Our uniform code is underpinned by the following simple principles:
It is imperative that students bring essential equipment to school on a daily basis so that they are ready and equipped to learn. This includes a pencil case containing black pens, a ruler, a glue stick, pencils, a rubber and a pencil sharpener. A purple pen for students response to marking is also useful. A school recommended scientific calculator, compasses and dictionary should also be brought into school for specific lessons. It is important that students make note of their essential equipment, for example cookery ingredients and PE kit.
The planner is an essential part of self-organisation and as such students are expected to bring theirs to school every day to record homework and other important notes. It is also a key tool for home-school communication.
Linton Village College uniform can be ordered through Sportswear International (tel: 0845 519 0099). Orders can be placed online or by telephone for delivery to home or school. Home orders under £70 incur a £4 delivery charge. Delivery to LVC during term time is free. Students can collect uniform from reception at break or lunchtime.
