Pastoral care and support

The Pastoral Team is an integral part of LVC. The team is based in the Support Hub. The Pastoral Team liaises closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other members of staff. Each Head of House is assigned to a House and works closely with the Tutors and the rest of the Pastoral Team to support students.

The team which includes the Inclusion Manager,  Safeguarding Manager and two Caseworkers is responsible for a wide range of support services including information, advice and guidance, careers advice, post-16 applications and support with emotional, behavioural and social issues. Outside agencies are employed where necessary to work alongside the team. In addition, LVC also works closely with the Educational Welfare Officer who assist us with issues relating to attendance, and also Centre 33 counselling service. This enables the college to provide a holistic approach to student welfare. The Pastoral Team is responsible to the Assistant Principal, Mrs Matarazzo.

We take our responsibility for child safeguarding very seriously. On Wednesday 30 November 2016, we held an e-safety meeting for parents to discuss issues relating to children's safe and unsafe online behaviour. You can download the resources from the meeting below.
