Giving students a voice

Students at LVC are encouraged to get involved, voice their opinions and contribute to the leadership of the school. Our Junior Leadership Team consists of 10 students from Years 10 and 11, who have responsibility for running the three student forums:-

Ethos forum

Learning forum

Environment forum

The forums are open to all students to attend monthly lunchtime meetings, where students can get involved in activities which will not only contribute to the improvement of the college, but also encourage students to work together and develop transferable skills. Examples of forum projects are organising charity days, developing house identity, setting up the cycle to school campaign, establishing conservation links with Linton Zoo, taking part in student panels and assisting the Senior Leadership Team in developing new policies and learning ideas.

The projects of all three forums are overseen by the Junior Leadership Team, whose views are presented to the Senior Leadership Team by the JLT Principals on a termly basis. In this way, students have a direct input into college leadership.
